Kydex holster for M&P 2.0 9mm with 5" barrel

Some videos on youtube show some fit and some do not fit. Seems if it fit the original M&P very tightly, it won't work on the 2.0.

FWIW, kydex is pretty easy to work with. Just heat it up with a heat gun, slide the gun in and form the kydex around it. It will fit perfectly.

I bought one from Comp-Tac. Their customer support said the 2.0 5" is same profile as the M&P Pro 5". It fits my 2.0 FDE 5" perfectly.

What dimension that affects holster fit is different on the 2.0? S&W purposely made it backwards compatible for holsters and mags. So what's the problem?

How do they not fit?

I realized something after I played with it a bit. They had the screws adjust really tight so it gave the impression it would not fit at all. When I backed them out all the way it did fit but I noticed the front top edges of the slide (either side of the front side) were scraping the inside of the holster. I could see the kydex shaving off and wear marks on the front of the slide.

I decided to return them and now have this veteran owned business making custom holsters for me in tan carbon fiber. They use the Blade-Tech paddle but custom form the holster to your liking. I can get what ever color or texture kydex I want and it costs less then the bladetech

Hi, I have the M&P 2.0 9mm 5" FDE and just bought a Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit Long Barrel holster. It is designed for the 9L, 40L, and Core versions. My 2.0 5" fits in it perfectly. Full Coverage of the 5" barrel. The locking mechanism works great and draws quick but provides great lock down.

Just want to let everyone know that this holster fits nicely and you can find it in FDE as well. But I picked up the black one at Cabelas.
