Nope. As far as the L frame goes, seven shops is as far as it goes with the .357. The hole in the frame simply is not large enough to fit a larger cylinder.
You misread the title of this thread or you made a typo: they're talking about the .327 Federal Magnum, not the .357 S&W Magnum.

If S&W could fit in eight .327s, even if it took using a Ti cylinder, I think that would be great. With a 3" barrel, Sc frame, and round butt, I think a lot of people would go for it. It would make an excellent CCW, plainclothes LEO, and nightstand weapon. Personally, I'd prefer a snag-free Bodyguard style in case I'd need to draw and use the gun while going H2H. Yet it would still allow me an accurate single-action shot if I ever needed it.
ETA: Yes, I realize this is a lot like the 242 S&W made years ago and failed to catch on. IMO, the 242 was ahead of its time. A TON more people CCW now than back in 1999 (plus AK, CO, KA, MI, NB, NM, OH, and WI have since gone Shall Issue) and, with the HUGE increase in web usage since then, a lot more people now realize the advantages of a revolver, esp a Centennial/Bodyguard style one, for a CCW (i.e., civilian primary carry), esp if you anticipate having to draw (and fire) during H2H combat (e.g., it started out as a fist fight/knife fight, but you're going to guns to end it).
