Hello.

I am looking for some wooden grips for my 686 round butt. What are my options both new and used? Thanks!

Your options are many, since K-frame round-butt grips will fit on your L-frame 686.

I happen to like Ahrends "Tactical" finger-groove grips...

I also like S&W's Magna grips:

I second the Ahrends finger groove, round to square conversion grips. I have a set on the way for my M-66 2.5 incher.

+1 for the Ahrends.
I have them on several guns.

By the way, if your original grips are wood, keep them.
Original S&W grips go for big bucks on ebay.

I have and like the Ahrends tactical finger grooves. My hand slides nicely on and they feel great in hand. I also have the Hogue Bantam grips for concealed carry and I like these as well especially when shooting high power loads. The rubber absorbs the sting much better than the wood, at least for me. I have other types but these 2 work best for me. I have a friend that can palm a basketball and poke you in they eye from across the room with his fingers and he prefers the square but conversions.
