L Frame with Combat Magnum profile

Last year I wished for a new .357 Registered Magnum, made to look like the originals with the front sight base set back and so forth. I said S&W could take orders and deposits until a certain date, after which the order book would be closed and the guns built so that it would not be as haphazard as having different orders arriving daily for different barrel lengths, etc.

Needless to say, I did not get my wish.

Well, this year my wish is for an L frame to be made with a one-piece barrel with a standard lug so that it looks like the Combat Magnum.

Yes, I know they sort of already did that with the Model 620, but it had a two piece barrel. Regular L frames have one piece barrels, so that is the way I want my wish list gun.

I could get behind that, too, especially blued with a 3.5 barrel a la those purdy 27s...

They made some 686's without the full lug like a 620 or model 66
