Looking at a new in the box (says unfired & looks unfired) 36-2 1 7/8 bbl Lady Smith with all the papers, box is the molded redish colored hard case SN BDE31xx.
Can't find much on date.
anybody shooting this model

Looks like an early 1990 shipped gun. If you have the original box with label, the exact ship date is on there.

Many of the recent Lady Smiths I've handled have had nice, light DA pulls. I vote for shooting it if you are undecided :). Hope this is helpful.
 
I don't have that model but if the price is right, go for it. Any 36 is a great revolver and being a Lady Smith is a bonus.
 
I have one of those with a BDE14XX number. I called S&W about a year ago and they said mine was made in October 1991. I love the grips on these. Mine had been fired and had the case and all the accessories including a speed loader. I paid $410 for it a year ago.
