Took a few suits down from the attic for the trip to Goodwill. One of the suits had this lapel pin which I can't remember. It doesn't look like any Boy Scout pin I've seen on-line (although I was a Boy Scout 65 years ago but not an Eagle Scout). I had a BSA rifle once. Never had a BSA bike. What do you think?

I had a BSA Majestic .30-06. Nice, but with iron sights, kicked a lot. And I thought the forearm checkering panels were "backward", to reverse Weatherby's style.

I think the pin is US BSA, due to the eagle. The Boy Scouts began in the UK, but I doubt they used the eagle motif.

It’s an Eagle Scout pin.

Someone here will likely show up who can explain the background.

The British BSA stands for Birmingham Small Arms and looks differently (see pic.2). They also built motorcycles.

It is an Eagle Scout pin. Perhaps it was given to you to get you motivated to make Eagle back in the day? I've passed on many small items to kids I was working with to try to ease them down the road a bit.

It's an Eagle Scout lapel pin, not to be confused with the Eagle Scout mother's pin. This is the pin that Eagle Scouts can wear when they are not in uniform, but are wearing a suit coat or sport coat. It is supposed to be worn only by Eagle Scouts.

I think they can still be obtained from the National Eagle Scout Association for about twenty bucks. If I remember correctly, they used to be made out of sterling silver.
