Laser for Wife

I recently picked up a J frame revolver for my wife and want to get her a laser for it. I prefer it to be as small as possible. Any tips/recomendations on good products out there? Thanks

Crimson Trace LG 405. I keep one on my pocket carry gun.

Once the gun is UNLOADED she can practice point shooting at home.

Inexperienced shooters tend to develop poor shooting habits with a laser, like chasing a target with the dot instead of using the sights, and focusing on the target instead of the sights.

LG-105 is the smallest Crimson Trace laser grips. Boot style, hard plastic, open backstrap. I bought a new LG105 on ebay not long ago for $155. I am old school but not being able to focu on the front sight really sucks. These are a viable alternative (in some situations) to iron sights.
How can the laser sights NOT teach you to ignore the iron sights and keep your eye on the target? Isn't that the whole point of them? I find that they are a great aid to practicing point shooting-- you can point and see where the dot is in relation to the target. Putting the dot on the target is very intuitive, no extra training required. It just sorta happens-- kinda like your eye putting the front sight in the center of a peep sight without having to think about it.

Possibly but more likely across a room, or in a parking garage, when TIME prohibits getting into your classic Weaver stance.

When I saw the title "Laser for my Wife" I was really excited. I thought you found a place I could trade my wife for a laser so you can imagine disappointment as I read on!

Be sure you have the round but on your J frame, Crimson trace only makes them for that model, I did not realize this until mine arrived and it did not fit. The differences in the J frame round but and square but are not that easy to distinguish when you don't have them side by side. Wish they made one for the square but Model 36. :/
