Laser grips

Tell me about Crimson Trace laser grips for CCW. Are they as sticky as the other rubber grips? Along those lines... How hard on the hands are wood grips on the 386Sc/S or NG's?

I have a set of LG105's on my 360 and LG185's on my wife's 905, they are smaller than the others and hard plastic so they don't hang up and aren't sticky.

I've not shot a 386Sc/S (but I'd like to buy one some day) or a NG but I have shot a friend's M&P340 with full house mags and didn't think it was that bad, certainly nothing like the horror stories I've read. I'd imagine that the bigger, heavier guns would be easier on the hands, regardless of grips.
