I placed an order with Alex last week for a holster for my Ruger Mark II 5.5" Heavy Barrel. I like to carry the gun in the woods and whatnot and I have had a hard time finding a good holster. Alex modified his pattern for a 5" 1911 and viola, a great holster for the Mark II, or a 1911! The basket-weave pattern is amazing. Alex' work is first rate.

thanks Alex! :)

While I was at it, I decided to buy this Keith style 6.5" N frame holster he had for sale. Its equally as amazing. The fit is secure and the holster rides nice and high. I hardly notice I'm toting this old 29 around......

holster

Alex made several for me too. My favorite is a N frame crossdraw. It works for me & is one the the prettiest I have seen

Alex..would you post the pic for me. Thanks

I like good basketweave stamping and that on the Ruger .22 holster is unique, I think, and most interesting.

However, I don't like the excessive exposure of the .44. I prefer the leather to come to the top of the cylinder in a Threepersons type rig, and that can be hard to find short of a custom holster.

That's one of several reasons why I prefer the thumbsnap release rigs like the Bianchi Model 5 or the old Safariland Model 29. I have used these and the El Paso equivalents more than any other holsters. Someday, I'll get a Bianchi Model 111 and have a covered trigger and a pretty well protected gun that can still be drawn quickly.

But I suspect that this maker could replicate these styles.

I have 2 floral carved holsters from Alex. They are great and I highly recommend him.Reasonably priced, fast delivery and very good communication .Thank you again Alex.
