I was thinking about purchasing a Lee mold for my G17 gen 3, which one do you think I should get? Anyone have any experience with this?

I've loaded 9mm cast for a glock, but the I bought commercial cast. They were Hi Tek coated 115gr truncated cone I think. Worked fine.
So I'd probably try Lee's 120gr TC mold. If you get the 2 cavity, they are pretty cheap if it doesn't work out.
I tumble lube the stuff I cast and my molds are not the tumble lube version. I haven't had any problems using the regular lube groove version molds. Using 45-45-10 tumble lube.

I cast the 158 gr. SWC out of the Lee mold for my .38 and .357 revolvers. I run some of those through the Lee .356 push through sizing die with soft lube and load them for my Glock 17 Gen 3. I have to be very careful and consistent with the overall length of the loaded cartridge but reliability has been perfect and velocity very impressive. Cast bullets do work in the Glock 9mm factory barrels as long as you keep an eye out for leading and clean them properly.

I have had real problems with the Lee 124 gr TL mold. Not only does it get tumbled in their lube, it also tumbles and keyholes on targets. This is with my second mold bought in 2 handguns, a friends loaded ammo in 3 different guns.

I would go with the 124 gr conventional lube bullet and tumble it or powder coat it.

For Lyman molds, I like the 358242 120 gr. I am currently shooting a couple of molds from Accurate molds and Noe molds. A 124 gr slick sided for powder coating and a 130 gr fn. I have shot cast in 4 different autos, a Ruger Blackhawk and a PC carbine, starting in 1994.

Good luck in your process.
