I am thinking of buying one. Anybody used one yet? I have the old hand primer and like it. Thinking of buying this ergo one.
Thanks for your opinions.

I also use the original Auto Prime, but my old thumbs ache afterwards. I handled the RCBS universal hand priming tool and really like the hand squeeze motion. I might get one of those, don't know. I've not handled the Lee Ergo.

The Lee Ergo is the hand squeeze ( like the RCBS universal) model.
The Lee Auto Prime is thumb operated.
And new for 2016 is the Auto Bench Prime. Mounts to a bench and operated with a lever by either right or left hand.
So let your aches and pains decide which one to get.

I'm still using the thumb operated old model , and don't have any problems just yet.
For people with achy hands and fingers that bench mounted tool might be just the ticket. Mount it on a board and C-clamp it any where you want inside the house....I've started doing a lot of case prep and even loading inside the heated and cooled house with a Lee Hand press and Auto prime , sitting at this computer desk.

I switched from the Auto Prime to the Ergo. It's much more comfortable and less fatiguing for me, but I am of the age where I have some arthritis issues in the joints of my thumb. But put me down as a fan.

I use the Ergo when priming LP 45 ACP, they'e always tighter. I've broken more than one handle doing those but still prefer the original for 9mm and 38 spc. There is also new tray/feeder for the Ergo that is pretty nice.

The Ergo is probably a updated model..

Some of the earlier attempts to improve the old hand primers were so convolutedly designed to separate primers to prevent accidents that they didn't work.

I still use my Auto Prime and when it wears out I hope they have a design that works as well as that does.

I still use two Autoprimes, one for large and the other for small. I've replaced many parts on each over the years. The old versions had a lot of pot metal parts. They run good now.

I've got the RCBS tool also but have never liked it.

The new bench mounted tool looks interesting, but as far as I know isn't actually available yet even though Lee started shipping in 2/29.
