OK, national reciprocity failed and frankly I do not believe it ever had a chance. It was just a publicity op for congress who wanted to be able to claim they were pro-Constitution to their constituents over break.
But what about a Congress passing law requiring recognition of State issued permits in DC? DC is a city that is owned jointly by all 50 States and managed by Congress. Why shouldn't DC be required to honor every States CCW permit? Lets get a movement going to require DC to recognize the permits from any State that issues one. This should also satisfy those who were concerned about the States Rights issue. DC is NOT a State and should stop acting like one. That will flush out the Congressmen who were just posturing.
