460 S&W Magnums Lew Horton Distributor Specials

Lew Horton provided some different 460 options almost from the start of the model's introduction in 2005.

SKU 170268 was introduced in 2006 as a Lew Horton distributor special. 510 revolvers were produced with a serial number range of LHZ0001-0510.
The revolver features a 3.5-inch barrel length with a fixed muzzle brake. The revolver is 10.75 inches in length and weighs 59.4 ounces and carries OD green synthetic grips. It has a fluted cylinder and a front Hi-viz green sight. The gun is stainless steel, has a satin finish, and came in a soft gun rug.

SKU 170281 was introduced in 2006 as a Lew Horton distributor special. 109 revolvers were produced with a serial number range of XCM0001-0109.
The revolver features a 3.5-inch barrel length with a fixed muzzle brake. The revolver is 10.75 inches in length and weighs 59.4 ounces and carries black synthetic grips. It has a fluted cylinder and a front Hi-viz green sight. The gun is stainless steel, has a black two-tone finish, and came in a soft gun rug.

The revolver features a 6.5-inch barrel length with a fixed muzzle brake. The revolver is 13.85 inches in length and weighs 61.8 ounces and carries OD green synthetic grips. It has a fluted cylinder and a front Hi-viz green sight. The gun is stainless steel, has a satin finish, and came in a soft gun rug.

SKU 170282 was introduced in 2006 as a Lew Horton distributor special. 257 revolvers were produced with a serial number range of MAX0001-0257.
The revolver features a 14-inch fluted barrel, is 22.5 inches in length, weighs 61.8 ounces, and carries black synthetic grips. It has an unfluted cylinder and a removable a front black partridge sight. The gun is stainless steel, has a satin finish, and came in a soft gun rug.

Additionally a another 14" version was produced. Having only seen pictures I can only describe it as Anniversary Model commemorating the Performance Center. Should anyone have more information on this model please PM me.

Speculation on my part, a small amount of production overrun for each order/model to account for any QC issue that may occur.

You will also see this in the Ellet Brothers models.
