Would like to pass on some information about Lew Horton distributing Co.

We know they have closed their doors, and that Mr. Earl Minot has passed away, I have seen some of the Historical Letters, that many members have signed by Earl for Lew Horton Distributing’s Special Edition.

I was able to get into contact with the COO of the Company, Mrs. Susan Lorusso, she has shared with me that she has maintained all of the records, and she shared that she would like me to pass on this information.

Lew Horton Special Edition Authentication Certificates
Former COO is authorized to offer Authentication Certificates for Smith & Wesson and Colt Lew Horton Special Editions.
A certified letter from Lew Horton Distributing records will indicate the following:
Serial Number
Model
Caliber
Barrel length
Date sold
Send an email to [email protected] if you are interested in purchasing a
Lew Horton Special Edition Authentication Certificate.

I am in the process of have a letter done for me; this is the Email I received for Susan

Good morning Kevin,

I’ve received your check yesterday and will mail your letter today.

Thank you,
Susan Lorusso

Susan also sent me a copy of the information she found on my 629-4.
I sent a check for $60.00

Thanks!

It is good to know that this information is still available for those who would like it.

I wonder is she has digital copies of the sales brochures to match?

Thanks for the info! Good to know that letters are still available.

I don’t mean to be the grammar police, but…
“I… is authorized…”???

At $60 a pop, you’d think she would have someone proof read her form letter. A description of the features that made it “special” would also be nice.

This seems to be a common problem with the S&W letters, as well.
I look at little grammatical and spelling errors such as this on the letters I have in my possession from Dr. Jinks as proof that he is indeed human...With the quantity and quality of work he turns out, he could easily be mistaken for a giant automated machine...I wouldn't take for any of my letters from him...I'm sure Susan Lorusso can be similarly forgiven for the occasional grammar boo-boo...:o...Ben
