I actually got this by mistake, which I won't go into now. It commemorates the 200th anniversary of of the original Springfield Armory. Authenticated by Susan Lorusso, former COO of Lew Horton, there were 200 unit produced. LH received the gun from Colt on 10/24/1994. It came in this blue box, w/all the Colt paper work and the white shipping box with end label. It started out as a Colt Model O, 1991. It's a little fancy for my taste but I do like it. It turns out it sold at auction a while before I got it at another auction. I doubt anyone will ever shoot it. I know I won't. I know LH made the SA Ltd. Ed. with out the gold as well. I will ask Sue if 200 is the total Gold and non-gold editions, but I think that number is for all of them.
