Is the lewisville Texas gun show this weekend worth a two hour drive?

Why certainly, a mere two hour drive in Texas is just up the road a piece.

Did you check on the number of tables? If it's in Lewisville, it's probably a pretty small show.

Their adds say 450 tables. I was hoping an attendee could advise if it is actually that big or just advertising. In the past I have driven two hours to a gun show that fit in a basket ball court. I do not want to repeat that experience.

Last Saturday I drove 70 miles to Pecos and 70 miles back just to buy a few cantaloupes. Heck yes, it's worth it.

I have made the last couple of Lewisville shows, it's ok but I wouldn't drive 2 hours for it.

Seems to be a lot of dealers and pawn shops mostly selling new plastic guns, very few individuals. Some jerky and jewelry, lots of people bringing kids.

Good news is that Mimi's in the same parking lot is wonderful for a late breakfast or lunch.

Also a good steak house on the square in Decatur. Can't remember the name but you can't miss it.

Sweetie Pies? I liked their burgers, but the music was usually a bit on the loud side. Pecan pie was good, but the slices kept getting smaller. Sunday afternoons there is usually a long line of folks waiting on the sidewalk to get inside.

Two hours drive, at todays gas prices, I would say NO.

Check the internet. The Dallas and the Mesquite show are worth a 2 hour drive, even longer, but none of the smaller shows in the area are IMHO.

I've been to mesquite and market hall. They are worth the drive. I still may make the drive just to see.

The Original Ft. Worth shows are my favorites. I drive 3 hrs for it. Since the Big Town Exhibit Hall is closed now, I don't know where a big Mesquite show will be. They were good ones, too.
