For a couple of months now I have been thinking about getting a cordless chain saw, a Lithium ion battery powered one. I have been reading reviews online and in general they are positive. There are several makers B&D, Stihl, Ryobi, Greenworks, etc. Batteries from 18- 40 V in different amp hr options. I have a couple of gas powered saws for big jobs, but the cordless models seem very handy for pruning and light work.
I wouldn't think of a conventional battery but the LI-ion sure are nice in other tools I have.
I have to mention my Dad bought me a Homelite gas saw in
the early 80s It hasn't been worked real hard but I do use it several times per year and it has always started and run fine. I ran it last week to cut some branches for firewood, thanks Dad!
Any of you have experience with the LI-ion chain saws? Opinions and suggestions welcome!
Thanks
Steve W
