Was shooting the other day and noticed a little slippery on my index finger pad with the shield.

what are your thoughts about putting a fine stipple on the face of the trigger, or a small 1/8" verticle stipple line from the bottom of the trigger to the hinge portion?

sort of what HK does on their triggers, except they use lines/grooves which I will not be able to duplicate

The consensus seems to be that smooth triggers are better than grooved (or stippled). Your finger should be free to slide when shooting DA (as the Shield is supposed to emulate). In extended shooting (e.g., competition), any undue friction with the trigger becomes uncomfortable. Secondly the muzzle flip is strong in such a small pistol. I get blisters from the safety tab in an XDs, and the trigger is relatively smooth.

Concur with Rastoff. Not something I'd want. It would be difficult to do well and would beg for a replacement if done poorly.

Why would you care what anyone else thinks? If it's something YOU think you'd like on YOUR gun, go for it. The only way to find out is to try it.

not to sound arrogant or anything like that. I don`t care what anyone else thinks, since I`ve customized many items without someone`s approval.

I just want to know and probably should have posted if anyone has done this procedure before and how that worked out for them

So, if you don't care what we think, why did you ask what we think? You specifically asked for an opinion and a few have given theirs. Besides, a new trigger is only $13 so, just try it and tell us how it worked out.

I have tried many triggers. The smooth triggers work better for me.

I personally wouldn't do it. I absolutely hate the texture and safety on the Glock triggers. that's one reason I love my Shield so much. As for not caring what other's think, I'm with you. I have a Glock 23 I cut the snot out of and now feed it with 27 mags. But I also didn't ask what others thought, just showed it after it was done.

I bought a pistol with a textured trigger face and ground it smooth.
If you press the trigger straight back without sideways pressure, your finger won't slide around on the trigger. The texture facilitates sideways pressure, which throws the shot off.
