Why is there no light weight J frame with a 3" barrel other than the 317 Kit Gun? I would imagine something like a 360PD with a 3" barrel would be a near perfect CCW and they would sell a zillion.

Is there an engineering problem with pressures or something that would make it impractical? Then again, even if they made it I probably couldn't buy one her in CA.

Always liked 3" barrels for CCW revolvers. Started with a 3" SP-101 and moved up to a 3" 65-5. I'd pay good money for an Airweight 3" 442/642 no-lock. Gotta a have goals.

Also a 3" 337ti on GB only 11oz. I have the 1& 7/8" version.

Not bragging but my accumulation of S&W's includes two 37's, a 2" Nickle and a 3" Blued. Love the 2", love the 3" more. LOL. hardcase60

Not common to find but they did make limited numbers of the model 38 ( humpback) and 42 series with 3 inch barrels. I have seen a fair. Number of 3" 37's

S&W Model 37 3" I carried one for many years

Resurrecting an old thread to thank Jimmyj. It has been a long quest but I finally jailed a 37 3". I wouldn't have know they existed if not for his comment. I will post pics once it gets out of jail.
