Ever heard of Google? If you Google exactly what you typed here, installing the Kns anti walk pins, and click on videoa, you have lots of videos to see.

Oh yes i have heard of the google, i tried but it was all 223 stuff, specifically looking for 15-22, found it once before, this time it seems to be hiding...Will these fit? JP Rifles

No, you want the small pin. Some Colt ARs were made with a larger hole. All others, including the 15-22, have the small hole (.156). I use the JP pins in my 15-22 but have the version with the set screws... not the clips. Some have said they don't work in a 15-22, due to the slightly wider receiver... but they do. I assume they have only read about them & have not used them. I personally like them better than the KNS, as I am not concerned with rotation in a 22lr.

Might want to look at the instructional videos for the 15-22. Lots about the fire control group, which will highlight where the 15-22 is different. From my memory, only thing different is the 2 springs in the hand guard.

Its the rotation that causes the receiver holes to wear larger. Considering it happens to ARs with metal receivers what makes you think it won't happen to a plastic one? That is why they make them in a .1555 size also for worn receivers. And why .156 pins sizes instead of .154 are available in some triggers.

The installation of the pins on the 15-22 is exactly the same as the AR-15. SUPER simple and a quick install. Just use a small hammer, screw the pointed installation tip on the attachment pin and tap it in... it will push out the existing pin and fall right into place. Then do the same with the slotted pin (minus the pointed installation tip) but be careful not to damage the slotted protrusion while tapping. Then just put the anti-walk bar on and tighten down the hex head screws.

I have read some posts about a KNS version specifically designed for the 15-22, however, the KNS AR-15 anti-walk pins work perfectly.

Personally, I prefer the look of the KNS pins more-so than the Panther Arms or JP enterprises style pins that just take hex-head screws with no bar. The KNS pins are Anti-Walk as well as Anti-Rotation.

Have you ever stopped to wonder why S&W made the 15-22 receiver out of polymer? You think they don't know what they are doing?

I will remind you we don't shoot the 15-22 full auto & that the 22lr round has considerably less recoil than a 5.56. As a reminder, check out the difference between the following rounds. Which one do you think kicks the least? You ever wonder why the 15-22 doesn't have a buffer spring?

Why do folks always look for solutions to problems that don't exist? Has anyone ever had, seen, or ever read of a 15-22 that had receiver holes worn out due to trigger pin rotation? Has anyone even documented rotation on a 15-22... much less damage? I shoot approximately 10,000 rounds a year thru my 15-22 & have no wear. When should I expect it?

To put this same old argument to bed, next time I shoot, I'm gonna mark my JP pins & monitor if they even move at all. The set screws crank down firmly on the receiver, so I really don't understand how they can move.

I didn't install the KNS pins because I was afraid they would walk at all... I did it because I like how they looked on my AR so presto... KNS pins on my 15-22. I installed them purely for aesthetic reasons. For me, it's not a solution to any problem.

The same goes for every other unnecessary "upgrade" on the 15-22... they don't serve a real purpose, but I enjoy smithing my weapons, so I do what I can to them. Like the new handguard, the Magpul furniture, the MBUS sights, the dust cover, the ambidextrous charging handle, the ambidextrous safety, the Single point sling attachment, etc. etc. etc.

Another reason that I mentioned in previous posts... My 15-22 matches my AR-15 to the T for training purposes. I don't have an outdoor range that I can visit regularly. The 15-22 I can fire at the local indoor range and it mimics my AR.

To answer the inevitable follow up question... why don't I just buy a .22lr conversion for my AR? Because I've got the money, enjoy making my 15-22 mimic my AR, I don't want to muck-up my AR with 22 dirt, and I already have the conversion kit. :)

That is nice, but I was replying to Photoracer who stated the KNS were a solution to a problem... a problem I have never heard mentioned on a 15-22.

Now there are documented issues of the pins walking on 15-22s and the anti-walk pins, from various venders, are a solution. That makes sense & if someone wants to pay extra for the anti-rotation feature on the KNS, fine... but my point is I have never heard of a need for them on the 15-22. Have you ever heard of receiver damage on the 15-22 from pin rotation?

So to those that want it for aesthetic reasons... go for it. Just don't try to justify using them to others by stating they solve some issue of damage to the polymer receiver.

I agree 100%. and no... never heard of any kind of damage from rotating pins on the 15-22. I don't think there's a real "NEED" for any of the upgrades to the 15-22 (except maybe the trigger) ;)

So having read various threads on here about these pin sets, does anyone here know how to get some in the UK?
I can get the AR ones at a massively inflated price but the 15-22 ones in FDE remain elusive.

I see from the KNS website that they fairly inexpensive to get from there just not shipped to UK?

Any help here guys? Ideas or suggestions ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rob after reading all the info here on this web site myself about the KNS pins...

I went ahead and bought regular KNS pins for the AR15...and they didn't work.

When tighten down to 11 pounds they bound up the hammer not letting it fall so I kept loosing them until the hammer would work... thought I was fine until I went to the range... then the screws kept falling out...boy was I PO

So I actually called KNS up and got the skinny from Gorden and got the right pins for the 15-22

These are the ones you want they do make ones that are the same thickness from end to end but I chose this model

Would they be the Gen2 Mod2 that you have on there?

Adds a nice finishing touch me thinks.
PMd you. :D

Yep..... For $4 more.... they even make them in...FDE (must be special paint)

1)M&P15-22 Non-Rotate Trigger/Hammer Pins (GEN 2 MOD 2) FDE

Or

2)M&P15-22 Non-Rotate Trigger/Hammer Pins (GEN 2) FDE

S&W makes plastic receivers to save money and save weight
I wish S&W made all metal 15-22, I'd buy another.

Some of us use slide-fire stocks.
Pretty darn close to full auto.
3 second mag dumps with recoil enhancing muzzle brake...
This can and will make stock trigger pins fall out.

Brownells will get them in for you, but it'll take at least 8 weeks. I made enquiries with them a few weeks back about getting the MP15-22 specific pins (email: [email protected])

So, after a super fast 7 day turn around, got my pins from KNS in FDE. Swift 5 min install and job done. Have to say I Like Them!!!!

Thanks for direction and advice from all concerned. Now for next tweak.
