Are you talking about the sight that looks like (is) a carry handle with the handle cut off?

Are you going to mount optics? I would personally prefer something that I am able to fold down and get out of the way of my optics. If not, and still running optics you have to make sure you get a good co-witness with all of the things in the line of sight on the gun.

Just one of those things that I think about. :)

The Marines are getting Larue stuff now apparently, and getting rid of earlier BUIS systems. The armorers and shooting team guys that I've talked to like them.

Personally I've used the old ARMS #40 and liked it.

I've never needed a front BUIS though. Thus I've only used rear units.

If you're on a budget, most people that get them seem content with the relatively inexpensive Magpul MOE offerings. The more expensive ones offer the sort of marginal increase in utility that is handy in a war zone, but the Magpuls seem to suffice for "good enough/just in case" weapons for a fair number of people.

Though what optic are you using? Some ACOGs have the back up sight built in. Most ACOGs and the military grade Aimpoints are also sufficiently durable that anything that would destroy them will also have destroyed the weapon and probably the user.... C-More sights meanwhile can be had with the BUIS rear sight and C-More unit combined into a single unit.

Heres a set that I just put on my M4, all steel, tough as nails and fast, and dosent clutter up the view through my optics. Heres a web address to the websight, he has better pics than I do! kellersight.com

nope, no optics. just want an alternative to the old handle. im an iron sight guy all the way. its the way i was taught and learned to shoot. i dont like looking down a tunnel.
