LOAD NEEDED FOR SR-4756 40 CAL.

Where can I find load Data for 180 grain Lead bullets, Sr-4756 40 cal.?
don't' see any listed in any of the Manuals.

Try looking on Hodgdon's web site. I found it there. Look in the reloading data section.

You can typically use plated bullet data, but honestly, jacketed bullets tend to generate higher pressures than lead so if you use jacketed data, you should be safe. Of course, always start low and work up.

Look again. There is a load for BERG. That's a Berger lead bullet. I looked there before I posted my reply.

My eyes are not the best so you are correct but then the load would be the same. Plated bullets should use lead bullet data. The plating as strong as jacket material.

Thanks for the help. The Lee manual shows 180 grain jacketed with a starting load of 5.6 and max of 6.0. Hodgdon shows Berrys 180 grain with a starting load of 6.2 and a max of 6.7. Why the difference?
