The Lobo Gun Leather Combat Classic has quickly become one of my favorite holsters.

If you have one or more, how about showing them off?! :)

Here are the two I have, so far. I'm planning to get one for my Sig Sauer P226 next.

Although it's not a perfect fit, I can get away with using the Combat Classic Ray built for my H&K P2000SK with my wife's Sig Sauer P229 Scorpion. I'll be getting a model-specific one for it, but, in the meantime, this one works well enough. :)

This is a very good looking holster. I thought I wanted an Enhanced Avenger, but...if anyone has a photo of one on a belt, preferably from the front, I'd really like to see it. I'm wondering how close they carry.

Lobo is not only a great craftsman, but is also a heck of a good man. I too like his leatherwork and very much enjoy doing business with him.
All my best,
Joe Kent

I'm sorry that I don't have a photo like that, but maybe if you called Ray/Lobo Gun Leather he could help you out.

The Combat Classic design emphasizes accessibility (ease of draw and holstering), comfort, and moderate inherent retention (obtained by close molding and rigid holster structure). This design is not intended to provide maximum concealment. The Combat Classic rides relatively high and close to the body, but this design cannot compete with the concealment offered by the Enhanced Pancake Model.

Everything in holster design involves compromises among the 4 basic factors of comfort, accessibility, security, and concealability. Whenever one factor is emphasized there will be compromises in the other factors. There is no such thing as the "perfect holster" for every user or circumstances.

That said, I have been using one of the original prototype Combat Classic holsters for the past 5 months, carrying a full-size 1911 pistol daily. I have no difficulties with concealment using a loose-fitting shirt for cover, and the holster is very comfortable.

So, each individual must assess his needs and preferences, then select a holster design that emphasizes his priorities while not compromising other factors more than tolerable.

Best regards.

Thank you very much for the reply, I am trying to decide how much concealment I'd give up over the Enhanced Avenger-don't need to go all the way to a pancake as I use blazers, big shirts, or vest for concealment. I just want something that rides closer than my Kydex paddle holster, convenient but seems to bump into everything, and I've admired your EAs for a while.

do it

I use a Lobo Enhanced Avenger for my Commander. Excellent fit, workmanship. I also have the Enhanced Pancake for My M19 snub.

Ray sold Lobo Gun Leather to the Fedders family in Iowa. They're still making Ray's designs. Just ordered an enhanced pancake for my M&P 340 from Mark Fedders -- great to work with. Ray is still consulting for the Fedders. Here's the site:
