The show started the third season tonight. Since no one has posted about it, I thought I would give everyone the heads up.

DVR'd it - we'll watch tonight.

I suggest that fans of the show read at least the first 3 or 4 books Craig Johnson wrote in the Walt Longmire mystery series. They give great insight into Walt and Henry's relationship as well as Walt's general demeanor. I liked the show well enough before I read the books, but like it more now!

And yes, Katee Sackhoff does not physically resemble Craig Johnson's description of Vic Moretti but she'll do quite nicely thank you! Besides, the censors would never let the print version loose on TV anyway!

Great show, getting even better with time.

That's like Orson Wells in 'Touch of Evil' I couldn't hear enough of what he said for the story to make sense.

I will say that the low mumbling does fit his character in the books quite well, though.

I read most of the books using Audible.

I've been watching the season 2 marathon and its ok, but, Longmire carries a nice looking Colt .45 with stag grips but never uses it.
So far, I'm kind of bored. Sorry

I watched the episode starting the 3rd season. I have been a fan since the first season, and even more so, a fan of Craig Johnson after seeing him at a book review a year or so back.

Big old happy cowboy type of fellow with what he declares is a "working" ranch; whatever that means these days.

I was not impressed with much of anything about the 3rd season debut, most of all, the fact that the buttons on his lady deputy's shirt seem to be sewn on with 40 lb test, though, the buttons do seem to be in a struggle to stay viable, and we can always hope !
