Yeah, that is sad. It has been on there for a couple months now with no takers...imagine that.
 
I think taking the ammo out of the cylinder would have "de-activated" it enough. What a waste. They should have done that to a High Point or something like that. Some off shore stuff will voluntarily de-activate with enough use.
 
That was probably done by a mindless individual who decided he's rather beat someone to into submission with it rather then kill them.
 
A friend of mine many years ago had a New York gun shop and had to perform that service on a number of guns. I believe he told me he welded up guns owned by Jackie Gleason.

Mod 13 is what I have been looking for, we had to do the same for our weapons drill rifles in High School ROTC, ruined some very nice Springfield 03s, such a shame why not buy one of those replicas
 
If you want a deactivated gun to teach with, just remove the firing pin, then if some joker should put a round in it the gun will not fire. And you can still teach loading unloading and the basic manual of arms.
 
I think that should be given to any senator that voted AGAINST Khune today....They seem to believe we can defend ourselves with nothing...Thats what they deserve.....

I would refuse to do that a servicable weapon that could be used to protect ones family. For those of you who support abortion you have witnessed one performed on a firearm.
 
Well to be kind, perhaps it was ordered by the court to be destroyed and the P.D. that done it saw fit to use it as a training arm. I destroyed a lot of handguns while I was working as a mechanic for the P.S.P. However in my defence it was understood that if it was a quality firearm that I would light the torch, hand it off to the Trooper and go get a cup of coffee and grieve the loss! Thankfully most of em were your trash type guns used by our local hoofties.
