Hi all. I have a recent acquisition of a model 629 Classic DX 8-3/8 and was hoping someone would help with the date of manufacture. Serial #CDR8248. Thanks

If you have the box, it may be in plain sight….
Look for "Spec. Ord" listing on box label with 4-digits…

The first is the year, the next 3- are the Julien dates for day of that year.
ex: 1031 would be:
the "1" =2001 or 2011 or 1991….
the "031" = January 31
