I have a OK Gamo 177 rifle. I would like a non CO2 pistol. Just something to mess with. I have looked at Pyramid Air and for the high priced guns I would buy a real centerfire gun.

So this Crossman seems OK and there is a similar Benjamin for more $$ but nicer features.

Anyone have the Crossman??, seems to get OK reviews other than the plastic grips but I do not want to add accessories. I would just get the Benjamin rather than do that.

Any other suggestions for inexpensive (reasonable:)) models?

I had a Crossman (?) 717 model. Single stroke pump. .177. Not a bad gun, but it lead me to the IZH46M .177 single stroke pneumatic that is the commercial version of the airgun used by the Russians to win Olympic gold metals. When they came out, I bought mine for $210 about 10 yrs ago, and it is still going strong. I think they are still available, possibly via Pyramid arms. They are capable of one hole accuracy at 10 meters.

Yes, I saw that in the other thread. Really nice but a tad more than I want to spend. A guy I know at the range has a compressed air rifle (Airforce??) fills with a scuba tank Probably has $1000 in that . Space age looking. Basically a silent 22 lr.:)
