I've seen CCTV cameras at Costco that seem to meet your criteria. They are good about accepting returns if it's not your cup of tea.

I have Arlo cameras. They do everything I need, and are simple to set up.
No monthly monitoring fees. unless you need more than the 7 day storage they come with you may pay for cloud storage.
I get notifications on my phone when they detect movement. They run on rechargeable batteries, typically lasting around 6-8 weeks depending on activity and settings.
I bought mine at Costco, but they have them also at Best Buy or other retailers.

I have a Ring doorbell camera and a Spotlight camera watching the driveway. The cost for one camera is $10.00 a month or $30 a year if you prepay. They both have sound, color, HD and no contracts. They both can be hardwired or run on a battery. Works for me.

I have the Arlo Pro. They just came out with a newer, more expensive version that is supposed to get better definition, 1120???
I’m happy with a notification, and the current 720P????

Well then I shall have to purchase the new version so I have the best and it's better than yours!:D;):D

You know what I am talking about;)

You must determine the use of the camera system before you buy.

The cheaper the system, the more problems you will have. That is a certainty.

I’ve been looking at camera systems for work for that last four months. Because I’m a locksmith I can order wholesale from our distributors.

There is much to consider depending on your intended use. How will they powered? How many megapixels? How much hard drive space?

If your cameras are for business use, you MUST put up signs that clearly state that you are audio recording.
