I'm looking for 1 or 2 screws just like this (or with a slotted head rather than Torx, doesn't matter): 8-40 x 3/8 T-15 Weaver Oval Gun Screws

I need a 6-40 rather than an 8-40 and can cut to length.
Do any of you 'smiths have 1 or 2 that you'll send me for minimal cost so I don't have to buy a whole box of them?

Many Ace hardware stores have small gun screw selections.

I'll check my local Ace, but I don't think I've ever seen the Weaver style in there. The Weavers have a weird "oval" just under the head that's not quite like a regular oval screw.
But I'll check just to be sure.

Allen Head OK?

I have way more than I need. PM me your mailing address and I will send you 6 ea. 6-40s Weaver with Allen Heads. No charge, just "Karma". ....

Me Too!

Yep, sho' nuff! It's one of the few still good, respectable forums on the internet.

Well said. That is one of the many reasons I do what I can to support the S&W Forum. BTW, your envelope is supposed to arrive this coming Thursday. Remember these screws are Allen Head, so you are going to have to find the right size Allen wrench. ............

Roger that - I should have that covered.

Yeah, a new ACE store just opened in my town. They also have what I call a "thread checker block" for some of the gun specific threads, for like $2.00. WAY handy.
