I've been looking for Unique in the Portland area for over a week and the answer I've been getting from every place I've called is "we haven't got it in for weeks and we aren't sure when we will be getting it in" Does anyone know were there is any unique in stock in the Portland Oregon area? I'm not willing to pay the hazmat and shipping to get it online. Thanks in advance.

Started with Bi-mart. All Bi-mart stores are out. Next was Fishermans, then Outdoors outfitters, everyone out. This is why I started this thread.

Checked Bi-Mart?

Bi-Mart usually has a decent selection of powders and other components. There are a few of them (6 or 8?) in the Portland area, call around and ask about Unique.

Also, call Sporty's in Clatskanie. I know, a little bit of a drive, but he's usually pretty stocked with everything. I'd be real surprised if he didn't have any.

The Bi-mart member checked all of their stores. I'm looking for a S&W forum member that knows of an actual location in the portland area that they know of that has Unique in stock. Thought that I only asked that question. I guess this thread is already a dead horse going no where. No worries. I'll keep looking. I'll post again when I find some "in stock" Unique in the Portland area in case anyone else cares or needs some.

Plenty of Hodgdon Universal Clays at Bi-Mart.

I just placed an order with Powder Valley, their stock is very good, not sure about your requested powder though. I'd just mail order & be done with it.

When you need an item bad enough, and you don't want to have it shipped, sometimes you might be forced to drive a little ways to get what you need.

Sporty's in Clatskanie has plenty of Unique at this moment. It's about an hour from Portland.

If you don't need it bad enough to go get it, you don't need it.

Your reply earlier was worded the same way an alpha hotel would have worded it, so I'm not really sure why I'm trying to help you out.

I live in the middle of nowhere. The closest store, other than a single high priced local gunstore is 90 miles away. I have bought mail order for over 20 years. If I don't have a large enough order by myself to make it economical, I get a few friends together. Usually, a single 8 lb. keg plus Haz-Mat is still cheaper per pound than buying eight one pound cans and I don't have to waste four hours and ten gallons of gas. The secret to saving money through handloading is by planning ahead.
