In all the other brouhaha many may have missed the passing of some celebrities.

First was Shelley Duvall, at 75. Died in her sleep due to complications with diabetes.

Richard Simmons, the crazy fitness guy, 76. Natural causes.

Shannen Doherty, the 90210 bad girl, 53, breast cancer.

I knew about Dr. Ruth, but do not remember seeing her or her show. She was very short, wasn't she?

James Sikking passed away 13 July, complications from dementia. I remember him as the SWAT Team lead from Hill Street Blues and the captain of the Excelsior in Star Trek III: Search for Spock.
