OK ...for all you "Enquiring Minds" who just gotsta know....here's the problem:
My computer is sending me a message that it is infected with "Trojan.Win32.agent.azsy" I google this and find out that is is some vicious little X-XXXX
icon_rolleyes.gif
that is messing with my computer and everyone wants to sell me something to fix it. My Norton says everything is OK but I keep getting these pop ups and my computer is definitely slowing down. LA JOE does my computer work so I am looking for him-but if anyone out there can suggest a good program to buy to get rid of this little bugger, I would be most grateful.
Sheesh!!!! Lucky thing I wasn't looking for my proctologist!!!!

""Lucky thing I wasn't looking for my proctologist!!!!""

You have a regular proctologist?

super antispyware free download
or
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

The super anti spyware worked on the trojan "Antivirus 2009". Both are free.

This thing keep telling me my comp was infected with all these things just to try and sell you an empty folder that was suppose to get rid of it.

CL,
Use SpyBot Search and Destroy from here. I've used this program for about 8 years. Download, intstall, let it check for updates and then run it. The scan will take awhile, then let it take care of all of the problems found. Then, use the innoculate feature to keep your PC from getting them again. Now, reboot your PC and it will run again when the PC boots up. This scan will take some time also, let the program fix all problems again and you should be sitting pretty good. You might have to run the program a few times to get rid of everything. These programs that install themselves on your computer and then bombard you with popups are extremely complicated and very tricky to get rid of sometimes. I just had this problem last week because I hadn't used SBSD for a long time. I had to run the scan about 10 times to kill the problem.

Good Luck!!

Bill

Sorry that I did not check the forum last night. I just now noticed that you have a problem. I called your office as I have misplaced your cell number.

My computer is sending me a message that it is infected with "Trojan.Win32.agent.azsy" I

If you see a message like this, it normally means that your anti virus program or spyware program detected the virus and has prevented it from infecting your pc. Usually the message will also tell you what it did with the file. These programs keep a log of what they did and you can open the program and see what it did. Getting to the log depends on what program you use.

I talked to Gary and it seems that what he may have seen was browser pop up that was trying to trick him into clicking a link in the message box.

This type of pop up can either sell you a useless piece of software of worse, trick you into downloading a real trojan.

If you do not know what a link does, do not click it.
