Just finished touring the caverns tonight for the Christmas light show. It was very cool and the kiddos loved it. I have to say, I spent the first 19 years of my life right down the road from the entrance to the caverns and never knew they existed until last night. I was looking for a place to take the kids for a light show and this popped up on my google search. Very cool way to see Christmas lights if you are around Louisville.

Howdy

Howdy,
That looks like fun. I wish I 'd known about it before.
I don't see me having the extra time this year but I'd like to see it.
About a 9 hour round trip with out the tour. Maybe next year Mary and I can get down and see it and spend the night.
Thanks and Merry Christmas
Mike

Sorry, but no matter what they wish to call this it is MINE, not a cavern. A cavern is a large natural CAVE. If you are still in VA and want see a real, and very interesting, cavern go to Luray Caverns at Luray, VA. Here is a link to their web site: Luray Caverns > Home

There is Mammoth Cave National Park Mammoth Cave National Park (U.S. National Park Service) in Kentucky

And Carlsbad Caverns Carlsbad Caverns National Park (U.S. National Park Service) a little closer to home for you, Carlsbad NM.

I know it's not a real cave, that's not the point, it's the fact that you can drive through it and see all the lights. I have been to Mammoth Cave several times, never went to Carlsbag Caverns though. Louisville, Kentucky is home for me, I just worked in California for the last several years.
