I have owned several .45 handguns but my fav and the one I'll never get rid of is my M&P. I have owned this gun for about five months and have shoot over 1000 rounds with it. I have had no problems at all with this platform and out of the box it was very accurate the only thing I have changed is the adjustment to the sights for my needs. Before I got this gun I carried a springfield xd .40 it was the most uncofrtable handgun I every carried and the same for shooting after 10 or 20 rounds my trigger finger was in agony and I had a hard time getting on paper from 25 yards. This is not the case with my smith I can group about 3in at the same distance. All in all this is the gun for me.

I agree that the M&P .45 is a great gun. I don't have that many rounds through mine yet. I was a Glock person and the M&P is a lot easier to shoot. Made me go get a 9c also. Check out adding an Apex sear and spring. Really smooths out the trigger alot.

I've used alot of .45's ? but this M&P .45 takes the cake, you can't go wrong with pistol. Soon as my financial sitituation is fixed, the 40c is on my mind.

My only concern to adding after market parts is will it make my gun less reliable I've found that with proper maintaince this is a very reliable platform I am lookin into a different sight system does anyone have any sugestions and answers to my concerns

I tend to agree about non-OEM parts. My M&P c 45 is already the most accurate pistol I have owned, [that includes several SIG's, 2 High-Powers, and 2 1911's] at least for me, so the trigger can't be that bad. Anyway, after 400 rounds it's becoming noticeably smoother.
