Lt. Col. Richard Eugene Cole, last survivor of the Doolittle Raid has passed away on tuesday april 9, just 9 days short of the 77 th aniversary of the daring attack on Japan April 18 1942.He was 103 .
I have Cap. Ted Lawson´s book 30 seconds over Tokyo and also the movie starring Spencer Tracy as Col. James Doolittle and Van Johnson as Cpt. Ted Lawson. Cole was Doolittle´s co- pilot in the raid.
I Always remind that date because it´s also the birthday of my first daughter Clarice, today, 33 years old.
