Has anyone ever used Lucas gun oil
I recently bought a Sig P238 for my wife and it came with a small packet of this gun oil
My LGS told me they have had numerous requests to stock it
just wondering if anyone here has used it and what your thoughts are on it

I've used it for several years. Semi auto, revolver, rifle and shotguns. Works good for me. S&W doesn't endorse it for the coated revolvers like the 642. Good stuff

I can't speak to the gun oil per se, but I use Lucas Oil Bore Solvent to clean the bores of my SIG P250 and P320, and it's a good product. My SIG owner's manuals say to clean the bores with "gun oil". The term "bore cleaner" is not used. Cleaning bores with gun oil is really slow and messy, so when the SIG-Lucas Oil relationship began, SIG customer service recommended the Lucas Oil bore solvent. Is it better at cleaning than Hoppes #9? I don't think so, but it hasn't harmed my SIGs' bores either, and it's way better than gun oil as a cleaner. Based on my experience, I'd say that Lucas Oil gun oil is probably a quality lubricant.

I've used the bore solvent as well. Seemed to do a good job. My old stand by is Butch's bore solvent.
Got alot of those little packets from sig as well. They used to pack the packets of trw grease, which I still use.

Think Lucas grease has replaced tw25b in the box with new sigs. I've been using it since out came out with good results. Used to get free promo bottles being in the auto industry but with popularity that has fizzled. Now I want to check out their new more extreme version of the oil.
