And are those "Smooth" walnut target stocks?!!!! Lucky you!!

why yes they are :D.....I saw the gun and knew if it checked out that I was going to buy it and then they said, We have the box and tools also! I about fainted!

I'm so jealous...looking for the K22 or a 617. Have had absolutely no luck so far.... Patience is a virtue that I have cultivating!

Great find..hope you will post some more pics soon.:)

Question...do the smooth target stocks "also" number to the gun?? If so, you have probably found a special order gun.

Don, I havent checked yet but as most Target Stocks arent numbered, only a factory letter will tell....I plan on getting one soon :D

A nice lunch break, very nice! I like these little surprise's every now and again, keep's ya looking. Enjoy that one.

Those stocks are probably Gancalo. That early would be a coup. You are halfway there as the box is marked "Target Stocks". Look to see if the washers are Black in color. Not likely they will be serialed to the gun. But that's not a problem. With oil finish, they are period correct...

Good score!

Good score!

they have black washers.

Kris,

Given that the box is marked targets and the stocks are probably pre 1969, there is a strong probability that these are origional.

Certainly well worth the $50 in my estimation to letter this gun.

Very nice.

I'm curious about when they started putting the stickers on the boxes that state the model number, barrel length, target options etc.

I have a 17 no dash with the correct box and the box does not have a sticker. The data is on the box itself.

Maybe they put the sticker on special order only boxes back then. Or, maybe mine's just missing the sticker.

Drew,

I also agree the wood's most likely Goncalo Alves, as well as having Early Grip Screw Escutcheons which means there's a good chance they're Original!! Let's hope for 410's sake Roy "Letters" it that way!!

By the way, nice find 410!! You don't find Complete Packages like that everyday!!

I know! I am very fortunate to find such a nice example with box and unused tools....I was going to buy it regardless and then they said, we have the box and tools too  then it was a sure thing....
