According to my 2nd edition Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, circa 1978, shows that two bullet designs were offered under 575213.
Either bullet is for use in a .58-caliber muzzleloading rifle, the most common being the Civil War type rifles, but some hunting rifles are also offered in this caliber.
A good price? I dunno. Depends on how badly you want it.
Two designs were offered: a 505 gr. full length bullet and 575213 OS, a shorter bullet weighing 460 grains.
From what I can tell, either bullet is hollow-based in the classic Minie bullet design. This would require a wood-handled plug to fit in the base of the bullet mould.
This plug is often missing from these type of moulds, especially at estate and garage sales. Lyman may still offer the plug by special order.
Handles are available from Midway or Lyman, and are a specific size for the mould. I'm unsure what size Lyman handles are required, probably Large.
Unless you have a .58-caliber rifle, there's not much need to purchase this mould. The bullets it creates are rather specific.
