I have a friends M-39 and according to him it just stopped busting primers while shooting one day. He thought he had a broken firing pin so he bought one and I agreed to replace it. I got the old pin out and it looks undamaged and it is different from the one my friend purchased as it's shank is longer. The new pin would not work as it would not go in far enough for the safety to be re-installed. So I cleaned out the firing pin channel and put it back in. I did notice that it does not appear to come through the hole in the safety far enough to receive a proper blow from the hammer. Any Ideas?
