M 59 Manufacture Date

Is there a Manufacture Date resource of some kind that would help me get an approximate date on a Model 59, ser# A66708x. This is a blue model that does not appear to be a "59dash" model.It is in very good condition, with the original box (no manual, unfortunately). Thanks for any help available

Made in 1981.

The best resource is The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas.
