Just to make sure and wondering. A 0.750'' in diameter gas block but not a low profile gas block would fit onto the m&p 10 barrel? My last gas block it got tightened to where it wouldn't fit onto the barrel all the way so the gas valve won't go thru the delta ring. When unscrewing the gas block it does not stretch it back out for it fit.

The barrel is .750 at the gas port. A low profile .750 gas block will fit

Draxxus, if your last gas block was a clamping style, you should be able to spread the clamping face with a large flat blade screwdriver. Even with the clamping face spread, the gas block should still seat snugly onto the its mating surface on the barrel. You should be able to position the gas block by gently tapping it with a rubber or poly faced mallet. Make sure that the gas port in the gas block ring is aligned with the gas port on the barrel when you install it, or your rifle will have cycling issues. To insure alignment, use a pencil to make visible alignment marks on the barrel and the gas block so you can align the gas block as seat it on the boss, and then keep it aligned as you are tightening the clamp ... the clamp will try to pull the gas block slightly to one side by nature of its design.
