M&P 10mm - 45 slide assy thread

A while back before I owned the M&P in 10mm, someone here posted about the possibility of an M&P 45 ACP slide assembly fitting/functioning. I can't find it with the search anywhere - it may have been inside of a thread. Can anyone shed light on the possibility if this works - or direct me to the thread. I was given an M&P 45 clip, it fits the frame, mag release and will lock back the slide when I retract it. With the availability of factory M&P 45 slides (the 1.0 version) on the used market - I'm wondering it this will work. Thanks for the help, Bill in MA
