M&P 15-22 best ammo?

Recently purchased S&W M&P 15-22. Manual suggests ammo brands to use and not to use . I've tried some of the recommended ammo but experience numerous fail-to-ejects. Am going to spend the money and try CCI high velocity and CCI mini-mag.
Any suggestions/recommendations on CCI ammo or what functions best in this firearm? Thanks

My 15-22 loves CCI mini mags. Jump over to the M&P 15-22 forum on here and those guys will give you more info on ammo and any other questions you have . one word of caution, hide your billfold; it can get expensive trying to keep up with all the new "tacticool" stuff.

I have had near perfect performance using Winchester Super-X. Make sure you do a thorough cleaning of the upper receiver and the blot assembly and remember to lube all surfaces. And as JA22Shooter said, there is tons of info in the 15 22 area. There were issues on some of the earlier guns with FTE due to ejectors being out of spec.

I have he early version of the 15-22 and the bulk pack Federals from Walmart work great but I think I like the CCI tactical better they seem to be more consistent. Some of the Federals seam to have light loads in them but for the cost hey are outstanding.

S&W's manual says, pretty much, to stay away from all Remington ammo. I agree, it's (pretty much) junk from my perspective and I haven't had much luck with it. The manual also says that the 15-22 loves CCI ammo, and my rifle loves the stuff. I feel kind of bad for those with ejector problems... I've run I don't know how many rounds through mine and can literally count the FTFs and other issues on one hand. Also seems to like Federal (nice, cheap bulk packs) and Win hi-velocity. Have stayed away from Wolf and Tula (sp?)... heard they were absolute junk. Anyone have an opinion and/or experience with those brands?
