Hello all,

I'm brand new to this forum and am also the new owner of a M&P15-22. Unfortunately, the gun has been sent back to S&W because of an extractor ejection after only 20 rounds. I live in AK and was wondering what the turn around time for service is gonna be like? Seems like just about every one is senting theirs back for one problem or another. I sent the gun via S&W's instructions thru FedEx.

Thanks.

I sent mine in on a Wednesday December 16th and received it back on Thursday December 24th which I thought was a very quick turnaround. If you just call customer service with your serial number they will tell you when to expect it.

Thanks for the reply. I tried several times to call customer service but have been unable to get thru. I have emailed and left a phone message but haven't heard back yet. Its been a few days. I hope to get it back that fast but the person at FedEx said that ground shipping from AK to MA is about 9 business days one way. I'm hoping it is much faster than that. If it is true, I'm looking at getting my 15-22 back sometime around the 8th-9th of Feburary. :mad:Anyone on the west coast send one back?

You got yours back quick. Mine took two weeks to get shipped, fixed and returned.

Shipping to and from AK is really out of the hands of S&W. Will depend on FedEx.

i shipped mine out over 2 weeks ago and I called yesterday and they told me it was just logged in, but they were closed for a while over the holidays I was told.

Thanks for the info everyone.
I hope it doesn't take to long, its been warm enough to do some shooting lately but it ain't gonna last.

Off topic. Curious, how warm is warm in AK to shoot? :o

It is 10 above today but this is January and the normal temperture during this time is around -25 to -35. When it is -5 or above, I try to get out and shoot otherwise I'll have to wait a couple months. I live in Fairbanks which is in the interior (about 100 miles from the Arctic circle).
