hi,
after enjoying the 15-22 for the last 6 months I have decided to buy a M&P 15, and I like the MOE edition, and have found them at a very good price...I am curious to see if anyone here has noticed/dealt with the issue of the fixed front sight when adding optics to this rifle...I have read that some people have trouble with the front sight when trying to add a scope or laser...any input, advice or experience with this would be greatly appreciated...

thanx,

thanx,

Don't know about the laser issue but anything over three power on a scope makes the front post disappear.

No issues with any optics on any of my ARs with a front sight. Like mentioned above, over 3x power and it disappears. With a red dot, you ignore it and will forget it's there. I don't get the laser thing.

I had two different scopes on my MOE and never had an issue with the front sight. One was a 4x16-42 and the other was a 6x24-50.

The optic on my Magpul Mid is an Eotech 512 (red dot). It co-witnesses perfectly with the fixed front sight. With the 3X multiplier, I don't remember seeing the front sight. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Im running a trijicon tr24 3G 1-4 w/bobro qd mount on my moe mid.No problems here. My crosshairs sit just above the fs so even on x1 its not a problem. Like others here have said, x3 or above and its gone. At x1.5 and x2 its a very faint blur.

thanks guys,
pretty much what I expected/wanted to hear, gonna order it this week...have never ordered a gun online before, a little nervous about it to say the least...

webfarmer: thank you, never had an AR before but the 15-22 got me interested and these forums have been a great source of information for me these last few months as I have been doing some research...lot of very helpful and knowledgeable folks here, glad I found this place...
