M&P 15 sport swivel removal

Hey all, I have an M&P 15 sport. I want to remove the front sling swivel. Is the pin that holds it in able to just be "punched thru" or is it not removeable? Thanks

yep you can punch it out with the right size punch. A cut tip punch would work the easiest.
