Just purchased a new 4.6 inch barrel m&p 2.0 in 10mm. When I field stripped it to clean, I could not get the barrel tilted enough to remove it from the slide. It binds on the front barrel,shroud of the slide when tilted far enough to clear the back of the slide. Any one else experienced this. Never have experienced this on my m&p shields. Or any other of my striker fired pistols

Tilt the barrel as much as you can, with normal pressure, don’t force it, put your thumb on the muzzle, and push it out of the slide. Mine is that way and I have heard similar complaints from others. The barrel will come out if you just fiddle with it a bit.
Saw a video on you tube that showed the guy hitting the breach end with a mallet to remove. And then again to re install. Have tried pushing on the muzzle to no avail. Just find it hard to believe it takes a hammer to remove the barrel from the slide.
I have a 5" 40sw pc and it's a snug fit going in and out . Jokingly - You have to hold your tongue just right before it will pull free easily but no darn hammer is needed !! Guessing the new 4" is really tighter fitting .

No issues disassembling mine - barrel came right out.

True, ... but a gas-powered Rhino pounder is mo' better.
M&P is not a Ruger.....
Yea you got that right . Those gen 3 and earlier rugers can be a pain in the arse to get back together .
Nothing some anti-sieze dabbed in the right spots won't cure.
