M&P 2.0 9MM 10 round magazines

Apparently S&W is using the 17 round mag springs in the 10 round mags ( which is all we can have for this pistol here in Mass. ).
Since the large spring is already pretty well compressed in the smaller 10 round mag body, it makes it extremely hard to load the mags. Anyone else run into this and have a solution without cutting the springs ? E-mails to S&W have not been helpful.

Just think that you have 7 rounds already loaded.

Yep I have not been able to load the 10 round mag without a uplula. The first round is impossible to load by hand and the tenth round won't work with the loader so I have to load that by hand.
