Would it be possible to run a 4.25 threaded barrel in the compact that’s a 4 inch barrel?

It will work, but it's not recommended.
On my 9mm and .40S&W barrels, the outside muzzle diameter is about .01" larger than the rest of the barrel. If you were to use a longer barrel, the larger part would stick past the end of the slide. While this is not critical to lock up, it will affect it.

Do you have a full size (4.25 in) gun? If so you can just put that slide on the compact frame and use the TB in it.

I've seen quite a few people do it. On the internet mind you but I've seen full size slides on compact frames. They have to both be the 2.0 version because of the new slide stop though
Not sure about the 2.0's but it does work on the older ones. I have run approximately 800-1000 rounds with my full size slide on the compact frame with no issues at all. IDPA legal for CCP division. You will get a few strange looks from RO's though.
