I asked this some time ago but wonder if anyone has come up with a fix for it and would also like to know if the later ones still have this issue. The right hand side slide lock/ slide release does not work without considerable effort, as in having to use two thumbs to get it to release. The left side works just fine, of course! Being a lefty, i have been trying to go to guns with ambi slide locks on them. My Glock 45 works just fine on both sides. I had read about this prior to purchase but thought that it might loosen up with use. No go!
If it works on the left side, it should also work on the right side like the Glock does. I think is a poor design.

Don't know about the new ones but my 1 year old went in an interesting cycle. When new the right side worked fairly easily. After about 500 rounds it got really really stiff. After about 1500 rounds it's back to works but not easy.

Same problem here but, I had become accustomed to using both the thumb and middle finger to use both sides of the slide release.

My recommendation.

Just use the slingshot method. It is good muscle memory and always works no matter what make and model of gun that is out in your hand.

Way back in the last century, I was taught to use a digit from the hand that inserted the magazine to operate the slide stop. That might improve things for you.
